This tutorial will guide you through installing and configuring Extract Audio Metadata with ease.

1. Install Extract Audio Metadata #

  • Open the monday.com App Marketplace
  • Search for Extract Audio Metadata
  • Click Install, then choose the workspace and board where you want to install the app

2. Access the Board View #

  • Once installed, you’ll be redirected to the Extract Audio Metadata board view
  • Follow the on-screen guide to get started
  • Select an existing item or create a new one, then navigate to Extract Audio Metadata Item View

3. Configure the Settings #

  • In the Item View, go to Settings
  • Click “Auto Create Columns” if you want the board columns to be generated automatically
  • (Optional) Manually create a File Column where you will upload your audio files

🔹 Important Reminder:
We do not store or retain your audio files on our servers. The app only reads your files to extract metadata, while your audio files remain securely stored within monday.com.

  • Click “Save Changes” to apply your settings

4. Upload an Audio File #

  • Open the Extract Metadata tab
  • Browse your local computer and upload an audio file
  • Voilà! The metadata from your uploaded file will be extracted and displayed in your board columns

Note: Some audio file formats are not supported by monday.com, meaning no data will be extracted for those files.

5. Explore the Dashboard #

Inside the Item View, you’ll find key sections to help you manage your metadata extraction:

  • Extract Metadata – Upload and process your audio files
  • Settings – Create and map board columns
  • Usage – View credit details, including the number of uploaded files and user activity
  • Subscription – Check available plans and view your current subscription
